Erin Standley is the founder of Standley Consulting and is committed to helping professionals identify their goals and reach their potential. She coaches her clients by pinpointing strengths, limitations, values, and motives in a supportive and open environment. She is a passionate, disciplined and proven leader with expertise in process improvement, performance optimization, relationship building, and goal achievement.
Erin has nearly 15 years of professional experience, including 9 years in higher education administration with leadership roles spanning admissions, career services, and student advisory in both undergraduate and graduate program settings. She has experience with professionals across many industries including medical, pharmaceuticals, education, human resources, finance, general business, oil & gas, and video game development.
Most recently Erin served as the Director of Admissions for Graduate Business Programs at the Helzberg School of Management at Rockhurst University, where she had previously served as the Director of MBA Advising. In these roles Erin played an integral role in the marketing and rollout of two new degree programs and eight new certificate programs. During her time as the Director of Admissions for Graduate Business Programs, the student population for those programs doubled in size.
Prior to her time at Rockhurst, Erin served as the Director of Career Services at a career college, where she actively led her department’s graduate placement percentages from nearly last in the region to first in the region. Through this achievement, Erin supported hundreds of students in finding careers. Erin also has several years of experience in professional recruiting in both the U.K. and the U.S.
Erin is a certified MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) practitioner and a candidate for the master practitioner designation. She has both coached individuals and trained teams to utilize MBTI to improve individual performance and team dynamics.
Erin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa and a Master of Business Administration in Management from Helzberg School of Management at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. Erin continues her support for Rockhurst in her role as an Adjunct Professor in the business school.
In her down time Erin loves spending time with her husband Chris and growing family, traveling across the U.S. and abroad, hiking, running, and being a lifelong Royals fan. She is also an active and passionate participant of philanthropic organizations, particularly those that support the celebration and advancement of professional women.
